appraisal for antique Negro Bank

Crystal asks:
This guy measures approx. 5" tall. I tried to find something out about him and no luck!
Thanks
AW says:
This is a turn of the century, 1890s to 1910s cast iron still bank. We know it's a legitimate antique by the patina, the size, the slotted screw and wear he has endured.
Some call it an Uncle Remus, so named for the famous story character, although an official name allocation was never proven as far as I've ever seen.
Date range: 1890s to 1910s
Retail value: $95 -$150
(top price)
Wholesale value: $50 - $75
(The midrange price you could expect to achieve at a well advertised live auction. The price that is most often realized)
Quick sale value: $45 -$50
The price your likely to get if you have to sell your item immediately and your prospective customer is aware of this.
Common trade terminology: Still bank, Cast iron still bank, Negro Bank, Black American Bank.
Slang terms or Nick Names: Uncle Remus Banks, Hat in Hand Negro Bank
Selling tips: eBay is an excellent market for this, you need to be clear that it's an original antique bank and not one of the many reproductions out there.
Care and storage tips: Don't really do anything, keep away from damp air and moisture water so as not to let it rust.
