It must have 3 bedrooms up, 3 bedrooms (or 2 bedrooms and den / office) down (down is a suite). They must be separate living spaces. The lower suite must be above ground, with minimum 8 foot ceilings and large windows. The house must have a garage and a decent sized yard. The house must be available to rent April 1st or later.

All this for $2500 a month.

If you can find me this house, I will seriously consider renting it. I don't think it exists. I'd love to be wrong.

Yes, according to The Globe and Mail, and specifically Douglas Porter, deputy chief economist at BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc., the housing boom in Canada is now officially over. First quarter statistics are what helped him come to that conclusion.

Certainly, we are seeing this in Victoria. Inventory is ballooning and sales are the lowest in years.

Will we follow in the footsteps of our neighbours south of the border? Perhaps. Perhaps not. But the market is definitely not what it was in the previous 2 or 3 years.

Across Canada today, shock greeted the news of Bourdon’s passing, the tragic victim of a traffic accident just miles from his hometown. The news crossed the country rapidly on Thursday of the horrific accident that took place on the outskirts of town, when his motorcycle collided with tractor trailer late at night.

Since Thanksgiving, the energy on the picket lines has fallen off. One picketer was even seen reading a book while he walked the picket line.

Ties it seems are not only frowned upon in the new NHL, they’re also an optional fashion accessory at Sportsnet. As the first hour of the trading shows winds down, it would seem that like prisoners heading for lock up, the ties and loose clothing have been collected at the door.

If the Flames want to get on the good side of their head coach, a couple of victories over divisional rival Vancouver would probably go a long ways to earning some points with the coach.
