appraisal for Willem Van der Does Painting

SJ from Seoul South Korea asks:
Hi, I would like an appraisal for this painting that my mother has. It is a painting of Kuan Yin by Willem van der Does.
Thank you for your help.
AW says:
Willem Van der Does is a prominent painter from the Netherlands. (1889-1966)
He is known for his Asian subject oil paintings and his works have a record of being sold at Sotheby's and Christies Auction houses in the past 20 years.
Your painting apparently has not been on the known auction market in that time frame or it would have come up in my extensive data base search. No matter, all good appraisals are based on comparisons and histories of the artist's or craftsman's work.
Your painting appears to be an outstanding example of Mr Willem's work.
